Suya is more than a dish, it’s a ritual. At NINETEEN60, we honor the bold flavors of Nigeria while bringing them into your home. This recipe uses our signature suya products and beef flank to make a suya experience that is simple, authentic, and unforgettable.
Ingredients
-
1 lb beef flank
-
2–3 tbsp NINETEEN60 Suya Rub (for raw meat)
-
2 tbsp NINETEEN60 Suya Oil
-
NINETEEN60 Suya Dip
-
NINETEEN60 Suya Stix
Instructions
-
Prepare the Beef
Freeze the flank for at least 30 minutes. Thin slices are essential, about ¼ inch cut against the grain for tenderness. -
Marinate with Care
Coat the beef slices evenly with Suya Oil and Suya Rub. Let the flavors meld in the fridge for 30–60 minutes. -
Skewer Thoughtfully
Thread the slices onto Suya Stix, leaving space between pieces to allow the heat to reach every edge. Brush on some Suya Oil. -
Cook to Perfection
Grill or broil over medium-high heat, 2–3 minutes per side, until edges are charred and the meat is tender. -
Celebrate the Flavor
Arrange the suya on a plate, sprinkle generously with Suya Dip, and serve extra on the side. Add sliced onions, tomatoes, or flatbread to complete the experience.
Each bite carries the energy, resilience, and spirit of Nigeria. Cooking suya at home is more than preparing a meal, it’s a way to connect with tradition and share it with the world.
